Vista Application Error

I am trying to fix a laptop with vista. I keep getting an application error, 0xc000007b. I have tried to install SAS, but it will not install, same with spybot, and avg. Malwarebytes says there is no problem. This computer has Norton 360, and I beleive it has an issue with one its dll files, because I also get a pop up error for that.

I have disabled Norton, I think, it no longer comes up when I turn the laptop on. I ran windows defender because that was all that I could get to work, and that came up empty.

This is my sisters computer, and she apparently did not have any problems until one day she lost her wireless connection.

Please help.

Application errors are more frequently software related issues and not due to malware. Thus I'm going to move this to the Software Forum. If at a later time malware is found to be an issue, we can move this back to the Malware Forum.

I suggest that you post the whole complete word for work error messages that you are receiving and also describe exactly what you are doing when the error occurs. Also test to see if it occurs when you boot in safe mode using the same user account.
