Vista backup question

    I'm backing up all my files before fixing some corrupted system files, but I ran outta disc during the backup. I googled the question and got the answer that Yes, I could continue it at a later time, but does that mean I can click stop backup, shut my computer off, and when I get new disc, all I have to do it go to backup and restore center, backup files, and there will be an option to continue previous backup, and it'll be on disc #21? Thanks
