Vista boot up ?

My compac sr5000 gave me message one morning after the teenagers were on computer the night before.
windows failed to start. a recent hardware or software change might be the cause. to fix the problem:
insert windows installation disk and restart computer

File: \windows\system32\comfig\system
status: 0xc00000e9
Info: windows failed to loadbecause the system registry file is missing or corrupt.

Ok, the computer did not come with a disk and now when I turn it off and on the mesage now is : Err2Err3 Disk boot failure insert system disk and press enter.
any help please, thank you

 

You are going to have to call HP and buy a set of recovery cds for your system.
