Vista compatible digital image editing app.

    The software I love for image editing refuses stubbornly to work with Vista. Yet another app which will not play and work well with my current OS (The joys of Vista).
    Any recommendations?

    The only free image editing software that I've used is GIMP.

    I have Vista Home Premium and it worked for the short time that I used it. I now have Adobe Fireworks CS3, which also works with Vista.
