    Yes

    Free
Jetico Personal Firewall Beta ( note beta, so may still have quirks )

    Paid
    Kaspersky Internet Security Suite 6.0.2.614 ( 32bit/64bit )
Microsoft Live OneCare 1.5 ( not a choice I would make and only because I tested this with Vista for the last 3 months as part of an MSFT test phase with this app and Vista.. I personally didnt like it )

    Betas on the go now
    Norton 360
    Kerio Winroute Firewall 6.3

Depends on the version x86 or x64 bit Vista your using too with any of the above to wether they work ok or not.

Future releases ~ not available as yet
    AVG Firewall
    Comodo
    ZoneAlarm

Well I only installed and used the Jetico one for a very short time and well persoanally found it not the best user interface, especially compaired to ZoneAlarm, but it does provide a software firewall for both incomming and outgoing data, whereas the Vista oen sadly will do incomming fine and very well but its the outgoing which is defaulty turned off, you can if adept at creating outbound rules setup your own via Admin Tools > Windows Firewall with Advanced Security.

I personally think they missed a trick not making the Vista firewall user friendly but corporate pressure won the day and it was shelved and disabled unless you as above create rules to block outgoings.... funny as Windows OneCare actually does outgoing blocking of applications, similar to ZA and others... just again pressures from 3rd party security companies stifled this possibly good firewall.

Is it better than the Vista one, yes as by default it blocks your outgoing applications and data unless you approve them, which is what many users like.
