   Im new to windows vista, could someone tell me if theres away that i can stop vista from going to sleep when idle, but just only sleep when i want it to by pushing the sleep button.

   Go to the Control Panel, select Classis View and then Power Options, I the right pane select change when computer sleeps to Never.
