32bit (x86) Vista Home Premium; HP dv9308nr laptop. I just installed a new hard drive; formatted and install new, clean Vista. Downloaded all the drivers from this link (the HP download site for this laptop) and installed the drivers w/o problems. Everything is working perfectly, but I have a yellow exclamation point ! in the Device Manager for "Coprocessor". Can't seem to find a driver for it. On other laptops (Toshiba and Sony for example), this "coprocessor" is usually a fingerprint scanner, but this HP dv9308nr doesn't have a print scanner.....

    Hi dlb

Just a double check, chipset drivers installed? and have you rebooted yet?

Try rebooting and re-installing the chipset drivers as co-prosessor driver if memory serves is part of that set.

Yup, and yup. Chipset drivers went in first, and I've rebooted with each driver install including after the chipset. Odd. The dude wanted his laptop 'cuz he's leaving town for XMas, but he'll lemme at it sometime next week and I'll try re-installing the chipset again, or I'll extract the chipset driver and try to manually install the coprocessor....
    Thanks Halo! Happy Holidaze! :drink
