Vista, IE8 has stopped working.

    Hi All,

    I am wondering if you can help me please cause this one has me stumped.

    A friend of mine is having trouble with IE8 crashing and coming up with a message "IE8 has stopped working". He is running Vista, I have tried Vista with no add ons, reset all IE8 settings back to default settings, I have tried installing Firefox which also crashes, I have booted into Safe Mode where IE8 and Firefox still crash.

    The only thing my friend can tell me he did in the last couple of days was install Windows Updates. I am not too sure off the top of my head which version of Vista he is running though. Any help would be much appreciated.
