I recently posted this in the Networking Thread; it was suggested I put it in here as well...

I recently bought a new PC for my wife (I hate Christmas) so that she can run her home business without a hitch. Her OS is Vista Home Premium or something like that. Now, I don't know much about Vista, so I can't really help her when she has a small problem. Hence, I come before the computer demi-gods at Major Geeks.

Certain web sites that she goes to (via AOL 9.1) don't allow her to view the images. There are blank frames where the pictures/icons are supposed to be. I know in XP (I really miss her right now) there is an option to enable and disable this protection feature, but I can't seem to find it in Vista. My hunch is that it has something to do with Protected Mode, but I'm not sure which configuration to set it on without compromising all of my protection.

    Please help.

Firefox or Internet Explorer? I don't much about AOL, I'm assuming it doesn't have a propriety browser. Maybe I shouldn't assume that.

    FJM.

Try double clicking the blank photo, it may tell you that you need a flash player or shockwave player. ed

AOL 9.1 = all-in-one software, which provides new features to further enrich your online experience (Browser / Mail / IM )

Proprietary web browser would be Internet Explorer
