Yes, they've apparently backed off a bit from what they'd planned for Vista. Prior to today, they allowed one change to a "new computer", with new computer not clearly defined in the EULA, but clearly defined by the MS Vista team as ANY change of motherboard. Which was not good for the home-builders that routinely upgrade their motherboards as well as peripherals. Thank you Microsoft.

MS must've seen a rebellion fomenting in the geekdom world. LOL, I almost feel sorry for PT in regurgitating some unknown MS flak's 'spin' on this issue.

Quote, You may uninstall the software and install it on another device for your use. You may not do so to share this license between devices. unquote.

Nothing different, the way i read this, still only one pc at a time, right? ed

    And this,

The change in policy will not affect consumers who purchase their Windows license preinstalled on a PC from a hardware manufacturer. No license transfers are allowed in those cases.

There are still a lot of folk that prefer to build it themselves. Glad to hear it being acknowledged.
