I have a hp quad core notebook. When Vista was booting, it would get to the desktop and let me load my Google news web page, than after about 15 seconds, my computer would get lost in space and freeze up and the HD would run for about 5 minutes and suddenly resume. I started Task master and it would eventually start as one action and then go back to the same and after waiting another couple of minutes run and be accessible for one action, say start "processess" and then go out again. I have disabled most start programs and now it does it after about 5 minutes, It will just hang and show the little blue circles. I was running Process Lasso and it was inconclusive. I have disabled ISSUP for updated and made almost all processes manual with out effect. I am running webroot spyware and disk keeper. Any suggestions? During the time I was running process Lasso, I was getting readings that said CPU usage 10%, responsiveness 100%. but nothing would respond until a break in the process that was going on.

Memory Test was negative. Disabled the diskkeeper auto defrag and it seemed to solve the problem. Reinstated it without the I.F.A.S.T. feature and it seems to work fine now. Thanks for the reply.
