Vista more secure than Mac OS

Seems a bit daft a Mac magazine comlimenting Windows! durrr!

 

Hahahaha Halo, you got my attention for a bit of span.

 

Until Microsoft does away with Alternate Data Streams, which have no place in the OS anymore(arguably never), Windows will NOT be more secure. I'm sorry, its bullshit to think otherwise. I'm a little passionate about the subject.

Im not advocating that OS X security is better at all, but to say its worse...ADS alone makes that false. KNOWING that malicious rootkits were using the technology to hide themselves and wreack havoc on the OS, Microsoft included ADS yet again!

Thats not to say that a user cannot keep themselves safe in Windows, or any other OS ( a smart user goes a long way), but a security analysis of different OSes absolutely must take ADS into consideration.

Here is a little conspiracy theory for ya. Now that MS wormed its way into the antivirus business, they left certain things like ADS in Windows to insure a future for its malware products. They can create their own business!

Note the above comment is not based on any fact, or anything else. So to argue it would be silly. Just a thought I had.
