Ok well im not sure if this is the correct forum. We should add a debate forum. :)

I ran the Windows Vist Upgrade Advisor for the heck of it to see what would show up. I don't trust it, but it does say that there are no current issues with me upgrading to Ultimate.

    -----------------------
Current OS:Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit.
    Processor: T2060 @ 1.60 GHZ
    Ram: 1014 MB
    ------------------------

I've heard in articles that its faster.
Is it true? Is it more compatible with Adobe type of programs?
    [ie:photoshop, dreamweaver, flash, painter IX]
Does the overall performance increase slightly with Ultimate?
I know that often times I freeze when im trying to use several windows explorers at once.

To be honest there isn't any real diffrent between the versions of Vista from what I've seen.

Correct me if I'm wrong tho..

The features, like only business and ultimate (I believe) are able to be remote desktoped into. Different features are in the different versions.

Do note that if you do 64bit version over 32bit, then in many cases you will need specific applications that are 64bit compatible.

Faster...... Home Premium > Ultimate ~ NO they will work same speed, Ultimate may actually work a tad slower as it will add some other services/processes which many will be uneeded as they concern networks.

You may see speed increase with the 64bit version, but the current swapover to 64bit Hardware/Software/Drivers is too slow in coming to make 64bit viable to many users.

Compatability with Adobe apps, again NO, if they work in Home Premium then they will work same in Ultimate, adn if you haev older incompatible Adobe apps then switching to Ultimate will not add compatability Adobe Vista application compatabilty list ( PDF )

Your freezing in Vista, could be down to only haveing 1GB ram and too many open programs and background running tasks, Vista is more happy with 2GB ram, so if RAM on your PC can be updated I woudl presonal go that route over upgrading to Ultimate.
