Don't think I will find this on here, but here goes...

Have a program called Embroidery Magic 2..it is a low end digitizing program that takes graphics and with a hands on application, you turn it into a format that is stitchable in embroidery type sewing machines... but it for the most part will NOT run under VISTA... does anyone have an ideas as to what we can check...I personally will not run VISTA and I gave the program to one who has that on their computer and they cannot get it to run...even doing the administrator thingy...any ideas on what she can try next to see if she can get the thing to run under her VISTA OS?...

the program is by a company called Panotgrams
thanks to any and all suggestions...
    :confused:cry:(

I don't currently use vista, but isn't there a way to tell the program to run in compatibility mode (like in xp) ? If there is, you could tell it to run as it's in XP.

Only other thing I can suggest is to run under XP along with admin. I didn't see anything at the pantogram site about what OS it runs under.

Pantograms does not tell people it won't run under Vista... they find out the hard way and there is no plans for a patch either... I only got rid of the program because I went up to a better program...and should I decide to go Vista (fat chance)...it would not have problems... but I know very little about the inner workings of VISTA except it is a pain in the nether regions...one of my kids has it and this is the second computer they have gotten with it and it is major headache with compatiblity issues...they are seriously thinking of installing XP and telling Vista to scoot!... I hear it is going the way of ME when the next OS comes out... I will check with this lady about telling it to run like XP... see if she knows anything about that...

Find the respective ".exe" file for the program and right click on it and select "properties" and go to the "compatability tab" and check XP in the under the compatabilty for XP.

Did she upgrade her PC to Vista or get an new one? If upgrading she could have dual booted. If its new she could also try running virtual PC.
