Hi, Just went through a virus removal (http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=1857617&posted=1#post1857617

and still having the original problem. Here's my computer info.,

    btw - I don't have ms office

Also, using MSCONFIG to only start services that MS req. and not loading any startup programs does hot help at all. Finally, I've booted off my other hard drive w/o problems so hardware is not the problem.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks, Bill

Disable Automatically restart so you get a BSOD with an error code.
When you get an error, write down the words and the first number (outside the parentheses) of the error.

Ahh, that showed the BSOD - found that Norton IDSvia64.sys was causing the problem - used the removal tool and now re-installing. We'll see if it is fixed.
