Vista RTM anyone got it yet?

    Have a copy ready to roll on Monday along with Office 2007. The beta versions were a bit flakey. Anyone got the RTM already loaded?

    Darnit, I really wish I had a technet or MSDN subscription to say that I did!

    I guess its not going to be released to the CPP?

    Nope, it's not but it's not much different than RC2 or 5840 except for better out of the box driver support AFAIK. I'll know more tomorrow as I'll have BW then to grab it.

    its interesting to say the least. Goes on well on a new machine but not so well on an older model. Get ultimate if you can as its the top of the range package. Anything else just is not worth it. Have not done an upgrade from xp to vista yet.

    Yes, I have had Vista RTM Ultimate installed, for nearly two weeks, works well, if you want to mess and tinker with many of the PCs options and use networks, then Ultimate is good, but I feel for the majority of users Home Premium will suffice.


    I have done one upgrade from XP to Vista but it was not with RTM, but RC1 in test days.. went ok at that stage, but I would still advocate a clean install to remove legacy files left from XP.
