    Hey Guys,
I just looked at my mother's computer( Dell with Vista Home Premium 32-bit). It went to bring up the screen saver, but it's just a black screen with white text saying "Windows could not load this screen saver". I have no idea how this happened. Nothing has been changed setting or hardware wise on the machine. I went and looked where you can choose your screen savers. It's set to bubbles(That's the one she likes.), 5 minute timer. But the preview displays the same error message. I clicked on a different screen saver and the same error appears in the preview box.
How could I fix this? Any help will be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Spock96

Click the Windows globe and in the search box, type System Configuration. Under the startup tab is there anything called "PCMService"? If there is, uncheck it and click apply. Restart the computer. Does this solve the problem?

Do you have a wireless mouse installed?

    Hi Tgell,
There is no PCMService under the startup tab.
No there is not a wireless mouse installed.

C:\Windows\system32\Bubbles.scr <--- Does this file exist or not? Just curious, as it should do if all is well, but obviously it is not so perhaps it is missing I was thinking.

Glad you got it working. Computers - nice way to raise a person's blood pressure. :-D

    Guys,
It's doing it again. It seems to do it when she gets an AVG Update. But the question would be why and why is it doing it now??
Nothing has been changed what-so-ever on the system no new software install, no hardware upgrade, nothing.
