Vista Ship Dates Set.....

Microsoft revealed today that it would be shipping Vista off to biz customers on November 30th and to general consumers on Jan 30th.

For Vista, this will include a build number of 6000, which also matches the 6.0 reference that denotes Microsoft considers this the sixth full version of their beloved OS. Both Windows 95 line and NT 4.0 were officially stamped as Windows version 4 (or variants, such as Windows 98 being 4.1); Windows 2000 was christened as version 5, and XP anointed as Windows version 5.1

I guess we will see if that come true later !!!!!!

Many new Pre build PC's sold now with XP include free upgrades to Vista

 

You know, if Microsoft would release the patches first then the OS, their problems would be minimal.

I don't mind the patches. Since, I know they are continuing to work with the issues, on release.

This goes with both windows and linux new releases.

Most games have patches also, on release.

 

Well, they got a start at doing that with the patch for IE7 that was released prior to IE7's release.
