Vista SP1,Nvidia,Asus

    I've requested help from, MS, Nvidia and Asus but I'm hoping somebody will have.1 some idea's or 2 a quicker responce:major

    System :- Duo E8400, Asus P5Kc,Corsair TwinX 4096Mb
    Nvidia Geforce 8500, Samsung Spinpoint Sata 500Gb.

    I tried to install Asus A1 suite and Cool & Quiet, It crashes the system, error 'Does not support WNT_5.1H_MCE.

    Next tried to d/l & upgrade to Vista SP1 - installation failed, event id 4375.

    Nvidia card not supporting dualview.

    Tried all the latest driver d/l but have memory dumps again and again.....

    I presume there is a conflict with Nvidia and Asus drivers because SP1 will not load:( But again I'm just stumped:yum

    Hi,
    I got no reply from M.S., nothing new then:D
    Same with nVidia.rolleyes
    Asus came back v.quick with answer, quick & cool is for AMD .
    Tried to install SP1 about 10/12 times. Used both auto d/l and install to disk d/l.
    Many Many Many error codes:cry
    Spent hours on MS site trying to get a result:crybaby
    Looked in various forums, uninstalled Comodo(what a joy that is). Stopped AV. Still SP1 went thro its installation to about 13% of its first of three installations.

    Went all over the internet. No Joy. UNTILL I found this thread

    Clean boot did'nt work but the following solution did.
    It's not perfect and to start said my copy of Vista was crook, missed 2Gb of ram, and messed my connection status.BUT SP1 is installed.:D
    Was it worth all this trouble:confused:confused:confused
