vista - spybot s&d questions

hey guys what's up? ok, i've had this problem with spybot s&d and vista (even prior to me doing a system recovery (another thread). now that it's a brand new comp again (so to speak), i still have this problem. ok, 1st problem (maybe not a problem, but it bugs me), it takes like 45 seconds for it to startup from when i click it, other programs seem fine.

i am the only user/logon on this computer, so i should be the admin as well?? what am i missing (top 2 links)? does anyone else have this problem?

anyway, other than that, this comp is pretty decent (especially for what i paid for it), i just wanted to get a taste of vista, as i'm sure i'll have to learn it eventually (even though i have 2 desktops, and 2 laptops that are xp, which i prefer, maybe because i know it a lot better??). thx, sos

 

it did fix my admin problem (running program). however i don't know why it still takes so long to startup. thx, sos

 

thx, i ran across (what you said), this morning. i'm just posting the links (below) in case anyone else has (or is) experiencing this problem. when i checked my laptop and other desktop(s) (all xp) today, i never noticed that they were on v. 1.4 still. - sos

well, the beta version did the trick for me (and they even put back in the shredder).

according to spybotsandra, you just copy the new file (beta), on top of the other version (1.5). anyway, my startup time went from about 45-50 seconds, to about 7-9 seconds. i'm just following up, so that maybe i can help someone else that is having this problem. thx again all, sos
