    Ok so recently my start menu just went wonky!
    I noticed that when i right click theres only 1 option. D:
    Shouldn't there be more?

    Then without warning the programs menu deleted itself and replaced itself with 3 empty folders of programs, administrator tools, and start menu.

    I edited the menu. Thought everything was running ok until i click on a program
    and its says missing insertnamehere.dll for all of them. Shortcuts and apps too.

    I heard on another forum that it might be related to registry issues.
    Which i seem not get enough off.
    Maybe it was cclener who killed the menu? O^O;;;

    If your just right clicking in the white space, thats how its spose to be. Right click actually on the START button however will give you more options.

    As for the other, if you have ever used Tune Up 2007, or Advanced Windows Optimizer then it could have caused some hassle. I've been using CCleaner for ages on XP and Vista and havent had any problems so far, but I guess its possible. Always make a backup of your reg in those programs if it asks you too just in case.

    If your start menu is empty ( and I dont mean the pinned ones at the top ) then right click will only show the properties option.

    Right click the Start icon and cloose Properties > Start Menu tab > Customize and make sure that Number of recient programs to show is not set as 0 if it is then no programs will show in that list.

    CCleaner doesnt by default touch that area either by its cleaner or registry cleaner options, did you enable the Advanced area scans in CCLeaner ~ menu order cache?, do you use any Vista tweaking apps or other registry cleaners?

    Have you been using registry tweaks?

    Ah, ok with the very first menu on the start page I was not clear that I just wanted to know if there were supposedly to be other options.

    Ah well you see this issue apeared before I use CCleaner. Then I ran CCleaner in advanced to if it would kinda of reset my menu and enable me to edit it.
    Despite that I am still unable to add folders into the programs menu and keep them there, if and when there is a folder it will not open *yes i put things inside the folders* and right clicking them is disabled.

    I have nothing but CCleaner.
