VISTA the aftershock

I am very new to Vista (i have had it 3 days) and like what i see at the moment although it's driving me crazy having to find new drivers for my peripherals, my printer disk was for XP and my scanner as well plus when i installed Office 2007 it just would not behave, Outlook kept on throwing up "some parts of this program are not compatible with your system" i was tearing my hair out until i downloaded and installed Vista service pack 1 and Office 2007 compatibility updates, now its behaving OK, i just need to see which of my programs ( ex XP sp2 ) will work with it.

i am not going to give it bad comments just because i can not make it do what i want until i have learned a little more about it. (watch this space!)

i will stick with it but i am slow to learn and with a new PC i have double work but i will not give up.

 

There were similar problems when going from win 98/ME to xp as well. Problem is, lots of developers are very slow to get going on vista compatible software because xp is still so widely used (especially in the business sector, where all the $$ is)
