Vista To Win7 64 Taskbar Help

    hello......need help............,trying to drag down a shortcut from my desktop in windows 7 to the taskbar and it wont let me.........is there a trick or program that will help me with this issue.......thanks

    See this guide Step 3 which says:
    Step 3: Pin the shortcut to the taskbar
    Now it is time to pin the shortcut that you have created, to the Windows taskbar. Right-click on the shortcut (or press and hold, if you have a touchscreen), and choose “Pin to taskbar.”

    hey max,thanks.....but thats not the problem.......lets say im on a web site and i drag it it my desktop..........then for easy access.i try to drag that shortcut to my taskbar...it wont take........i dont want a folder on my taskbar, i want a shortcut,like in vista..been trying everything

    If your default browser is pinned to the Taskbar, right-click it and you'll see the shorcut.

    As Pale Moon and Opera don't show that option, have you considered just saving that web site as an Webpage, HTML or Webpage, Complete; then create a shortcut - now pin that to your Taskbar?

    Unfortunately it won't work.
    The shortcut is a file and Windows will pin it to the default program for opening that file.

    I just checked... and my saved web page now shows pinned to Pale Moon just like your Firefox image. I did try to drag the shortcut to the Taskbar first. :p So now I have it pinned like yours and the Desktop shortcut remains.
