Vista Ultimate 80004002

hi can anyone help??? Please???

i have upgraded my dell dimension to Vista ultimate and i get an error code 80004002 when trying to run windows update.

I have tried various methods to rectify this problem such as installing bts updates, which says i have the wrong the windows version for the certain download, and have also attempted correct registry keys however there was nothing wrong with the originals.

Please help i cant even update a service pack

Reregister the update dlls
regsvr32 wuapi.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng1.dll
regsvr32 wucltui.dll
regsvr32 wups.dll
regsvr32 wups2.dll
regsvr32 wuweb.dll

1. Click on Start, choose Run and type cmd, and then click OK
2. Type each line above, one at a time and press enter before typing the next line. If you get any errors, ignore them.
(Also someone mentioned turning off the firewall before typing the commands).
(Another mentioned: go to the control
panel, user accounts, turn user account control on or off).
