Vista v XP

    I recently purchased an Acer Aspire 5315 laptop. The pre-installed operating system is some sort of basic Visa. My desktop has XP, and I would prefer to stay with that system. Can anyone advise me on how difficult it is to ring the changes. Please help.

    If you can find XP drivers, its as difficult as doing a clean install of XP.

    If not, it will be akin to pulling teeth without novocaine. It can be done, but you will sure wish you hadn't.

    Thank you friend for your prompt assistance. I have an XP installation disc, as I use this program on my desktop pc. Would this carry the necessary drivers? You are dealing with a complete novice I'm afraid.

    No. Nor does it contain the legal license to install on more than one machine.
