I installed Windows Vista RC2 5744 on Virtual PC 2004. My host machine is running XP Media Center Edition with an always on connection to the Internet via a a cable modem. For some reason, I can't connect to the Internet in the Virtual Vista environment. My first question is whether or not I should be able to. I don't have much experience with Virtual PC so I'm not sure what its limitations are. If I should be able to, my second question is, obviously, what I would have to do to make my connection work in Vista.

I tried the connection wizard in Vista and it asked for a username and password which I'm pretty sure isn't applicable. This is a brand new computer and I simply plugged in my old modem and had a connection.

The Ethernet card is present in Vista's device manager, although in parentheses it says "Emulated." Is it a driver issue? Thanks in advance for any help!
