vista will not boot into normal mode can you install xp

i have this acer aspire 4315 iwas wondering if anyone know if i could get drivers for xp.since ive tried everything here in the suggestions.dont care for vista anyway.any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

anyone have a hint?since this computer has a sata hard drive toshiba mk803765x-(s1) where can i find driver for it.can i burn it on cd then will it have an autorun to install the driver before i put xp on it..

 

well folks,i now know that there is drivers for xp for this comp.i downloaded the sata driver.but it has a floppy preinstall and setup.exe.but this comp dont have a floppy drive.my question is will i be able to install from cd and run the command prompt.to get the driver to install on this hard drive.

 

This conundrum tweaked my interest on installing Windows on sata drives on old motherboards without a floppy so I did a little research for you to see how it was possible,it seems such a PITA,maybe easier to borrow a floppy drive.

thanks Rikky,this interested me too.i was thinking that xp setup may recognize the hard drive if i just format it instead delete the partition.

well folks, i went ahead and tried it and believe it or not it worked for me.I'll be dam i guess i could chalk this one up on the board.i kept the partition intact.delete the vista then install xp..thanks you all for your help..

 

im back again i left out one part,first i went to the bios and set the hard drive to the ide mode instead of ahci mode.
