VISTA will not rip cds? dislays error in media player

has anyone heard how to fix this. i have a lot of people asking about thier vista machines not being able to rip CDs. Here is what i have heard

media player 11, load cd works fine, displays song titles, as soon as you select rip all title turn to error.

most i have asked said they recently updated ITUNES, some removed itunes completely and did not fix problem. it happens on differant types of computers.

 

users are telling me what they see at home.

in media player the library displays song titles, when you choose to rip songs all titles turn to error.

if you google this you will find lots of people talking about it but no one has found the fix yet

i have had to repair many vista machines and most of the time the problem is with ITunes or video card. I do not have vist at this time

also u are suggesting that a problem with media player might be related to itunes...not so sure, to check, try and disable any startup items from itunes, and run windows media player again (prolly should reboot first)
