    Hello folks,

I am a geekling [as in duckling!] and need some good information from you Major geeks. :)

A friend brought over a computer for me to fix. I did my best. However, as I was looking
"under the hood"I noticed there were no partitions on her hard drive. If I would have
noticed at the beginning of my work I would have reformated it; and added
partitions. She had backups of everything. But I didn't see that until I was done.

I remembered that Windows in the past could not efficiently use a large drive without partitions. Is that still true?

If so, how big should each partition be, and can I do this now that she has been using the computer about two months?

    Thanks for being here.

    :wave
