I recently bought this drive from OcUK and whatever I try to do Vista just will not recognise it!

My old drive broke so I bought this one to to replace it, but when I plug it in Vista does nothing. My old drive in no longer listed in My Computer, but my new drive isn't on there. No new drivers are installed, no new hardware has been found, it just sits there. Vista won't even recognise my old one any more when I try to plug that one back in!

Please help me as I have ran out of ideas. Thanks.

    1. make sure the jumper is set to master.
    2. Connect the data cable and be sure it is also attached snuggly to your motherboard.
    3. Double check that the power and sound connectors are also attached.

When you boot up the computer, go into the BIOS and see if the drive is enabled there.
