Vital Memory

Ok so I just ran out to the store and I came back to go on my computer and a little icon pop up in my task bar saying Vital Memory? what is that all about I recently had discovered Spyware on my comp, but then I MSCONFIG my computer once, and installed Avast and Cookie Cleaner, I never had a problem since then now all the sudden I am getting this message why?

How much RAM do you have in your computer, and what operating system do you run?

 

Vital, I have XP, How do I see how much ram I have not exactly sure how?.

 

Go to the Control Panel and open System. At the bottom of the General tab it will tell you how much RAM you have.

 

512 MB but for some reason I dont think that's accurate.

 

Why not? Do you have more than that installed?

 

could it be a third party application as opposed to windows generating this message?
