VLC Player

Would like to say hi to the software forum, was notified by timw to submit my issue to this forum. I watch movies for free online, and by what I've managed to gather about the VLC player its suppose to be one of the best, I was using the Divx webplayer 1.5 to view these movies, but would like to try the VLC player. I already uninstalled the Divx webplayer. On playing the movie I got video loading and that was that, I thought it would begin to buffer on the VLC player, all it said was video was loading and thats it. No movie. If configs have to be set, then I'm totally lost. I'm not really all that good with pc, but pretty good at following instructions. Can someone help. Thanks. :confused

Its off of a site, that has many movies, filmikz.net if you can just go to this site you can researh the types of movies that they post. And maybe that will help u better in helping me.
