VMM.VXD - Re-install Windows 98

    Hello,
    I wonder if anybody can help me. I have no idea how this happened but when I turned my home PC on this morning I got a message that said "VMM32.VXD was missing from path" and that Windows would likely need to be re-installed. How exactly do I fix this and if I can't, how do I re-install Windows ? On the screen right now is just the C: with a flashing cursor.

    Thanks for the help. When I type in what the help page suggests I get the message "Volume in drive C has no label. Volume serial number is 3E6B-11F0".

    I guess that means I have to re-install Windows. Back to the help pages I go (probably quickly followed by a trip to the computer repair place ! ) :(
