For my Security class, I have to download either Fedora Core 9 or Ubuntu 9.04 to VMWare Server 1.0.7. I have the VMWare installed, but I cannot for some reason get either Ubuntu or Fedora to install. I have tried for over a week now. I did a live .iso trial of Fedora and that worked, but I don't know how to keep it on there.
I am really frustrated. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have downloaded hours and hours, but when the download is done, it does not install. I must be forgetting something and I am at a loss for what. You know how your mind gets all jumbled and you don't know what to do any more. That's where I am at.
I want to start all over in doing this. Could someone help me out with a "good" download location for one of these and step by step instructions on what I need to do. First two chapter assignments are due today. I know I am going to be late, but have to get this done first.
    Thanks

This is a short guide how to get VM ware folding (you don't need to do that but it is in the guide) from another forum i belong to.

Thanks must go to Augie who produced it.

Thank you for the help. Now if I just could get my network settings right, I would be all set. I have a Linksys router and am trying to get it all set up.
