So I have a wired router (w/telephone ports) and a wireless router, both linksys. I have my main Internet connection plugged into the wired router and then to the wireless router. I did this because when I had it hooked up wireless to wired, the Internet signal would alternate on and off, and the phone would cut out. So with the connection wired to wireless, when I use my voice over ip phone connection, my wireless signal goes away. As soon as you hang up, the signal and connection comes back. What’s the deal?

is this a cordless phone? if so, what's the frequency range that it runs on?

It is a cordless phone, 2.4gHz. Is it an interference issue? Should I tweak my routers frequency (WRT54GS)?

I'd bet money on it.. stand next to your router with your wifi device and your phone.. turn the phone on and off and watch the lovely display of your xp machine informing you of lost connection :)
