    Hi,

I am a linux geek most of the time (gentoo) but i like to play some directx games (age of kings mostly) with a bunch of friends. we are looking into playing over the net. the way things are set up (who has/doesnt have internet access) it will end up as 2 or 3 networks bridged. in short: i want a vpn solution that will bridge several computers behind routers (on their own lans) onto one subnet

    sort of:

    computer 4 --- -- computer 1

    computer 5 --- Router --- Internet --- Router -- computer 2

    computer 6 ---

all computers involved can be vpn clients if necessary or one computer on each end can act as a bridge, it doesnt matter. i have access to both xp pro and 2003 server. I have used pptp in the past with a linux server but am having trouble forcing windows to do what i want. i have also looked at openvpn in bridge mode but i am concerned about a dhcp conflict. idealy everything would be on the same subnet with transparent bridges between. both lans are using 192.168.0.xx addresses from dhcp servers on the routers.

    any suggestions?

Thanks for any and all help
