Vpn Or Other Service To Access Work Files And Folders

Hi,

I am very new to this so you will have to bare with me.

I am attempting to setup a way to access files and folders on a mapped network drive that I have created. The first question I have is what would I need to setup to access these from say a home PC?

Secondly, the mapped folder that i setup on my PC for the work management to access prompts me for my username and password everytime another user with access to the folder re-boots their PC. How can I overcome this?
