VPS Server Hosting Troubles (Java)

Hello! I recently purchased my self a VPN server as I didnt want to pay the ridiculous price of dedicated servers for my gaming server. Its been hard for me because I know hardly anything about VPN servers.

Im trying to host a server for a game called starmade. So I took the files for the server from my game and transferd them to my server via FTP. I then used Putty to access my server and I told the server to run the server.sh that should launch the server. (Server runs on CentOS64)

I set the files to CHMOD 777 and everything. However when I tell the server to open the SH file I get this error. And then it terminates the program.

I was thinking that it could be that the Java on the computer I downloaded and ran the files with is 1.7 and the Java on my server is 1.5. I dont know how to update it any further because when I tell it to update it says 1.5 is the most up to date version. Any ideas? Im sorry if this isnt enough information I dont really understand what Im doing.
