W2000P internet connection problem

I am having a problem with my internet connection on a W2000P installation. The computer connects to the internet through an 802.11g wifi card to a US Robotics 8054 wireless router. The wireless driver shows connectivity with the router. Currently, when I open a web browser I get the error message "The page connot be displayed". Update attempt with my antivirus software also do not connect. This problem started right after I installed all the WindowsUpdate listed files, which included updates to IE. Prior to this I was connecting fine. Nothing I have tried has worked so far. Any advice will be appreciated.
