W2K Server takes close to an hour to startup.

Something has recently went way wrong on my W2K Server. It takes it close to an hour (no exageration!) to startup. It gets to the the windows graphical logo screen with the progress bar at the bottom and then just takes forever.

When it does come up, its running really slow, but I can't see anything eating CPU, etc.

No new software/hardware.

I've been trying to go through Malware remove procedures from this site, but I worked on it all day yesterday and am just now to the online virus scans.

Spybot - Search and Destroy didn't find anything interesting.
Had to run SuperAntiSpyware because other 2 wouldn't run on W2K server. It didn't find anything interesting.

Waiting now for reboot so I can run bitdefender and panda scan. But got an hour to kill :cry

I was hoping someone my have a suggestion of something specific to look for or try, as so far I am striking out and with it booting and running like it is, its looks like its going to take me days to figure it out.

Did you check Event Viewer, System Info, Device Manager for issues?

Issue finally resolved. Turned out to be bad harddrive, very strange that there we no errors in event view etc. Infact only got 2 read errors using copy commander to copy the drive to new drive, but it took 36 hours to copy a 17gig harddrive!!!. I've never experienced a harddrive that acted like this one, but at least I'm back up and running now.
