W2k (SP2) to SP4 ATAPI Problem

Ok, I'm new here, but I did everything in the "read this" section. I've been through these forums before as a non-member and always found them helpful... but on to my question.

I recently had a nasty virus that I got rid of by doing a "repair" from my win2k pro CD. After that I ran Kaspersky AV, Antivir xp, the cleaner, adaware, spybot, and everything listed in "Do not post until you have read this . I'm 99.9% sure it is NOT a virus., os Here's the problem:

I upgraded to SP2 and did all the hot fixes, except one: the upgrade to SP4. It begins installation, and within a few minutes I get an error telling my my atapi.sys is in use. I dont have anything in my cd drives, and I even tried uninstalling Nero's "InCD" and used a startup manager to remove anything that might even think of looking at the cd drives (1-dvd r/w, 1-dvd-r,cd r/w, anf 1 plain old 52x cd-r).

I'm going to attempt to attach 2 files to this. My Hijack This (latest version) Logfile, and a screenshot of my desktop (sorry if it's wide, I use a gf4 w/ dualview). Anybody have a clue as to what's buggering my box? Many thanks in advance... -Boo (aka:MostlyHarmless)
