This has been a bad week for my PC, I'm catching everything.

I did an online virus scan using Panda and it installed the VBS/Newlove A virus. My AV caught it and got rid of it, but when I scanned with my AV, it found W95/Bumble, but it's archived and can't be repaired or deleted. Does anyone know what I can do? Thanks.

What OS and AV are you using?

Sometimes Virii can become part of the system restore archived files in ME/XP so turn off system restore run reboot and run AV again then if gone reboot and turn back on system restore.

Halo it didn't get rid of it, but I ran another scan and was able to locate the file. Thanks for responding.

Everyone beware! Panda online scan installed two virus' onto my PC.

Are you sure Panda installed them, or did it just find them.

Panda prompted me to download the VS before it could run. I did, and the second I clicked start scan (Panda), my AV alerted me of the virus. It didn't have time to run, let alone find an existing virus. I hadn't downloaded anything prior to downloading Panda VS.

The path was C:\windows\temp\_AS40E2.tmp. The file was motor.cab. All roads led me to Panda. It was named by my AV scan report.

I've just installed and ran the online Panda AV scan, on a PC with KAV and McAfee7pro installed on... and no virii were found or installed.... funny enough tho they say at the top of the page

But you do have to install something and that something is ActiveX controls... SO I wonder if the AV you are using picked up a false postive from one of the ActiveX files installed by Panda and just by coincidence Panda found the W95/Bumble virus ( which is a old one ) which I guess your AV may have missed?
