I take care of the computers for a Middle School, and have to start 3 classrooms of 30 machines each every day. I would like to automate this, and have been trying to make WOL work, without too much success. If there is anyone here who is successful with this, I will be happy to detail all my unsuccessful experiments, but it doesn't seem like many people do this with groups of machines, so I won't take the time unless there'e hope of help. I have downloaded the AMD utility and can wake many individual machines, but not a group. Thanks.

if you are running a LAN with a domain is there anyway you can make it run shut down scripts to each computer like once a week like on friday at a certain time?

Two reasons for daily shutdown. 1. We are on a tight budget and anything that cuts costs is important 2. We have frequent power outages and being shut down that way tends to mess up the computers.
