Wallpaper Hijacked

I visited a site which reviewed spyware, and whilst there I got a virus warning on my laptop. My wallpaper has disappeared and is replaced by a blue screen with a "your computer appears to be infected ..." message. I cannot change this (the wallpaper) as the right mouse click is partially disabled. My anti-virus (Norton) and Adaware found 10-12 viruses and spyware most of which were cleaned out. I need to sit in front of customers with this laptop and I don't want this damned message on my desk top. Please help! Thanks
PS - have now removed the .bmp file that was my replacement wallpaper. However, the right mouse click is still partially disabled - I have no tab visible to change wallpapers - so damned annoying.
I have a hijack this log if that is any help.
PPS - my system is way slower than normal
