Wallpaper in XP shown as JPG

Hope someone can help me.

Some time ago I set one of my pictures in "My Pictures" folder as my desktop wallpaper.

When I looked in the Display Properties, ALL my pictures from My Pictures folder are shown there as JPG, even the XP wallpaper.

Got the feeling that the software IrfanView has something to do with it, as it seemed to have changed all images and pictures into JPG.

Anyway, is there an easy method to delete the pictures from My Pictures folder from the Display Properties without deleting the pictures in My Pictures folder.

I looked up C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper and only the original XP pictures are shown there. (as JPG)

Are the ones shown in Display Properties just duplicates or the real ones from MY Pictures folder? :confused

If these are duplicates, where could I find them?
