    Here's one for you ASUS laptop/Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit users... I change my desktop wallpaper, which remains in effect as long as my laptop, a model K60IJ (Yeah, I know it's an older model) is active, but when I re-boot, my chosen wallpaper image has been replaced with the previous, unwanted image. Everything I've tried to remedy the issue has failed. Anyone have this problem and know how to fix it? I'd sure appreciate the help.

    @Charles Cason
    You have to start a NEW THREAD for your issue, as this one is 4 years old.
    And do NOT put your email address here - answers are HERE only and never, ever by email address. You will now get spam because of spam harvesting software.

    I'm obviously new to MajorGeeks and I'm really not 'geekish,' or I'd have known better than to include my email address in my 'posting.' For that matter, I'd probably the know the answer to my query and wouldn't have posted one in the first place. So, how do I create a 'new thread?'

    Welcome to MG

    Go to the top of the Forum you want to post in, eg this one, and click on the top far RIGHT link that says 'Post New Thread'.

    Sorry, my new glasses are not working too well. I don't see the 'Post New Thread' icon. I only see 'New Threads' at the top middle of the screen and that's not it.

    See the image that I have attached at the top far right corner. You must be logged in to see it.
    At the top right of every single forum there is a dark green 'POST NEW THREAD' link

    Drastic but this will remove the old unwanted wallpaper from the computer.

    Open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper
    Find the wallpaper you no longer want, right click it and delete it.
    Or, if you want to save it, put in a USB stick and see if send to USB stick is an option. Chooes that before you delete/erase it from C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper
