    Hi everyone,

I am trying to configure remote access to our terminal server after switching from a dyndns account to a static IP. When we used to have the dyndns account remote users would simply open Remote Desktop Connection put in the xyz.dyndns.org information, hit enter and the login screen for the terminal server would pop up. I recreated the port forward for 3389 to the IP address of the terminal server but now when they open the RDC client and enter the IP address all they get is the option to log into the router.

I know I've missed something but don't know what, can anyone help?

That is definitely not right. Are you sure when you did the port forward that you gave it the correct IP Address? The IP Address of the Terminal Server and not of the router?

If you have a home based router, I would try powercycling it. For me it's done wonders.

Problem solved by blasting out the rules on the router and redoing them
