Wanadoo internet

    Hi all,
    When i want to send an email and it takes me say 15 mins after a while a new window appears saying connect now. So Wanadoo has disconnected me after a fixed period of time after not surfing the net as i was writing an email. How do you adjust this setting or solve the problem?

    Are you on broadband or Dialup with Wanadoo?


    Could try at first checking the idle disconnection setting in IEs connection tab... goto Tools > Internet Options > Connections > Highlight your connection > Click Settings > Advanced and untick disconnect after XX idle time > apply.

    or do you use a router?

    if using the USB modem Wanadoo supply check its settings for an idle time setting, been along time since I used their modem or PPPoA dial software as used in broadband but vaguely remember an idle setting.

    will need to copy and paste this link or search for KB5871 at Wanadoo and click the Options Tab choice for the settings for Idle
