want an alpha sort

in the old days i could do this..and i would imagine it is easy now but...i have never this up in the last 30 years so a few things have changed..
not to mention ..i have had a stroke...so please be explicit..and i will get it...

i would like to create a file of my movies...so lets say .....like 1000+....i would like to add them ..

by dvd..ie. 1.robocop,I robot
2.braveheart,the patriot

then i would like to be able to have an alpha sort to get
braveheart
I,robot
robocop
the patriot

can someone help me?
