Want To Create A Password Disk

I am using Win 7. I have placed a Memorex CD-RW rewritable disk into the drive, and I went into Control Panel - User Accounts- Create a Password Reset Disk. When I click on Create a Password Reset Disk I get a message:"“No Drive:This feature requires removable media, such as a floppy disk
or USB flash drive. Please insert a floppy disk or connect a USB flash drive,
and then try again”.
My computer sees the DVD RW drive (G).

 

Not many systems have a floppy disk drive any more, so you will need a USB pen drive. A floppy is not a CD or DVD.

 

If you must make a CD, here is the way. Download Imdisk (link), you'll find it in your control panel, open it.
Click mount new, select A:, size 1440 Kb, OK, you'll get a pop up to format, do it.
Now make your password reset, select the A: drive.
Open ImDisk and right click on the floppy and select make an image, save that.
Download ISO Workshop (link) & install
Open ISO Workshop and select Make ISO, click the bootable option, select the image file you made above.
Then you have a to add a file - so add a text file or anything and click save.
Now burn the ISO to a CD - ISO Workshop - Burn Image &
TEST!

But you could just buy a cheap 1gb usb key for not much more than $1.50 and use that
